My book of hours

I created this book of hours at Jim Croft's workshop:http://www.traditionalhand.com/oldway/
Jim is nationally known for his work.

  1. I see you selected the same wood as I did when I took the class from Jim Croft, maybe 4 years ago or so. I just love the Sycamore, don't you? Question... was your BoH a printed out one from on-line or did you do all the calligraphy and illumination yourself? It looks good from what can be seen in your photos. I am so very tempted to take Jim's class again, to hone some of the skills I learned from him.

Meisterin Katarina Helene von Schoenborn (mka: Helen Schultz)... also from the Midrealm

    1. I did. I would like to go back as well and learn more about clasp making. I recommend the class to anyone. I saw your book at Pennsic before I went. It was beautiful. I printed the boh. I used publisher to set it up. It is a replica of Katherine of Cleve's. It turned out well and it looks hand done.
